SETUP

SETUP

  1. If this is your first game, cut out your coins and health tokens (HP).

  2. Shuffle your deck and place it face down in front of you to make your draw pile.

  3. Place HP tokens face-up to show your health (normally 50HP to start). Put the rest face down.

  4. Take 5 cards from the top of your draw pile to make your opening hand.

  5. Flip a coin to decide who goes first.

Drawing and discarding…

Pretty much everything you do is based around picking up and putting down cards. (So exciting…)

YOUR DRAW PILE is where you take new cards from

It’s basically a free card shop

YOU DISCARD PILE is where you put cards after you’ve used them

It’s basically a recycling bin

Taking your turn…

Cards come in three varieties and you can play 1 of each in a turn

Attack

Order your imaginary friend to damage your opponent.

Answer the matching question to reduce your opponent’s HP by the amount in the attack icon. Answer wrong and your attack misses.

Discard this card after use.

Defend

Use your imaginary friend’s ability to give yourself an advantage.

Match the icon to description on the instructions card to see what one-off effect the card has.

Discard this card after use.

Support

Call your imaginary friend to your side to provide ongoing benefits.

Match the icon to description on the instructions card to see what ongoing effect the card has.

Play this card face up in front of you. You can only have 1 support friend at a time but can replace it if you want to swap.

If you run out of cards in your draw pile, shuffle your discard pile and place it face down to turn it into your new draw pile.

RUNNING OUT OF CARDS…

When you lose life, flip over tokens to show the damage to your health. You can use any combination of tokens you want, as long as the total that is showing matches you current HP.

LOSING LIFE…

WINNING THE GAME…

Reduce your opponents HP to 0 or below to claim victory.
